Aloha and thank you for taking the time to look at my portfolio. Please allow me to share a little about myself. I’m a freelance photographer based in Honolulu, Hawaii. I was born in Los Angeles, California but raised on the island of Maui. After completing high school I went on to attend Oregon State University and graduated with a Bachelor of Science, Liberal Arts degree majoring in Technical Journalism and a minor in Life Sciences.

        I have over 25 years of photojournalism experience, two  years of management and photo editing experience to offer you. I have worked for seven newspapers mainly on the west  coast. They are the Los Angeles Times, The Seattle Times, The Boulder Daily Camera, The Maui News, The Honolulu Advertiser, The Corvallis Gazette-Times and The Orange County Register. I use Canon photography equipment. My bodies are the Mark II N and Mark IV. The lenses I have range from the Canon EF 14mm f/2.8L, 24mm f/1.4L, 16-35mm f/2.8L II, 70-200mm f/2.8L II, 300mm f/2.8L IS to a 400mm f/2.8L IS. My computer is a MacBook Pro 2.4 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo with an air card which allows me to send photos from virtually anywhere in  the state of Hawaii as long as I can get a cell phone signal. I have the experience to cover just about any news story and sporting event in the Hawaiian islands. I do have a Passport and can travel abroad.
